This is a reminder that the applications for consideration for the 2016 African Leadership Fellowship must have been received by AFLI by 15 January 2016, a strict deadline.
Three hundred and five nominations from 38 countries across the African continent were received for exceptional young leaders to be considered for selection as a 2016 Tutu Fellow. Only 18 of these prestigious awards will be granted, following a very competitive and rigorous selection process which will grant the award winners the opportunity to participate in the five-month, part-time Tutu Leadership Fellowship. The programme is run in partnership with Said Business School, and entry into the exclusive network of Tutu Fellows. As in previous years, the standard of nominees has been very high as the Tutu Fellowship continues to attract Africa’s finest young leaders from all sectors.
We replied to potential nominees with a packet of documents and nominees are reminded that completed application forms and associated documents must be received by the 15th January for consideration. We anticipate that the selection process will be completed by the end of February, and the first workshop of the 2016 programme starts at Mont Fleur, Stellenbosch on 23rd April.
